The Region Director election for the Western Appalachian Region closed at 6pm on November 1, 2025. The results are as follows:

Peter Buss received 76% of the vote with 210 ballots cast for him.
Amanda Barnhart received 24% of the vote with 65 ballots cast for her.  

This election had the highest percentage of participation in the on-line voting era with 36% of the eligible voters casting ballots.

I want to thank the candidates for participating in the election, and to those of you who participated in the governance of the region by voting. Please be sure to vote in the National Board of Directors election as well. That election closes on December 1st.
